Feast for Three

After a long day of work, I went out with my brother and aunt in Uptown mall, BGC. Of course, no bonding would be complete without food in the middle of the table.

BAKED BUNS WITH BBQ PORK (Php 145)

I has been a while since I ordered these buns. One thing I noticed is that it is not as flakey or crumbly as before. I remember that I would make a mess whenever I eat baked buns. Well, it is still flakey but not as much. It still tastes good. Not as sweet as before, which is better in my opinion.

I guess this is new in the menu since it's the first time I've tasted it despite always being here since it's one of my parent's favourite restaurants... or maybe I didn't notice it because it says "spicy." Turns out, it is not actually a very spicy dish since someone like me can withstand its spiciness. This dumpling is so good we had to order 2.


BEEF BRISKET AND TENDON NOODLES (Php200)

The waiter told me that this dish is actually served after 10pm, but they were kind enough to serve it to us even if it was just around 8pm.

I was craving for soup so I ordered their HK style one. I've tasted it before and it tastes like authentic Chinese soup. But my brother recommended to me that I order this one. He tasted it during the food tasting of Tim Ho Wan. I do agree with him that it is delicious.

​BRAISED CHICKEN FEET WITH ABALONE SAUCE (Php120)

​The reason why my parents always bring me to Tim Ho Wan. HAHAHA. It is their absolute favourite dish among anything that the restaurant serves. It doesn't taste like how other Chinese restaurants serve this dish. The sauce is absolutely delicious. We even use the sauce for other dishes, we mix it in rice.


SPINACH DUMPLING WITH SHRIMP (Php120)

Sadly, I forgot to take note of the name of this dish. Although I think it's just fish ball with curry sauce. I didn't find it special but my brother thinks its so good. I'll leave it to you guys to decide.

​MANGO POMELO SAGO (Php120)

I like their mango sago mix. It's not too sweet and there's pomelo in it. Which is a nice twist since the pomelo taste complements the mango sago mixture. Aside from the fish ball curry, I give the rest of the dishes a thumbs up.
