Happiness in the Garden

One rainy night, my mother brought me and my dad to Happy Gardens Cafe. It's another restaurant brought up by the owners of Bizu Patisserie.


Once you're seated, they will serve you fresh popped popcorn

Look, it's even placed it an very cute pot shaped bowl.

Thriving (Php125)

pumpkin soup with cocoa cream and blue cheese croutons

I find the taste interesting. It doesn't taste like a normal pumpkin soup since there is a twist of cocoa cream. I find it delicious but my parents doesn't really like it.



Complete (Php345)

freshly made brown rice pasta with lamb bolognese sauce

The taste is not your usual pasta since the noodles are made of brown rice. It has a light taste and feels light even after finishing the whole dish, even if the sauce is mixed with lamb.

Grateful-Truffle Mushroom (Php615)

cream cheese, truffle cream topped with oyster mushrooms, button mushrooms and mozzarella cheese glazed with honey and kale

You definitely have to try this. This is the best. Well, maybe I have to be biased since I do love mushrooms.

apple pecan salad with apple cider vinaigrette, mixed greens with apple slices, candied pecans, poached chicken, dried cranberries and goat cheese

My mother ordered this dish after eating all the other dishes. I had only one bite since I was too full to eat more.



The ingredients in the restaurant are all organic, says my mom. Although I can taste the freshness of the ingredients and there are definitely no preservatives.

The meals were perfectly cooked and the dishes were served in a very cute way.
